for conventions/conferences, cultural festivals, school presentations, wedding ceremonies, and blessing ceremonies.

Bob Baker Cultural Advisor - Bob Baker (ancestral name S7apluk) is co-founder and speaker for the Eagle Song Dancers/Spakwus Slolem, the most reputable dance group for the Squamish Nation.
Born in 1946 and raised in the Squamish Nation, Bob has been singing and dancing his people's stories for over 27 years. Accomplishments range from the revival of sea-going canoe traditions to cultural projects such as the Grandmother Welcome Figure at Ambleside Beach Park, to dance presentations in Japan, Taiwan, and Europe with on-going performances locally.
In the warmer months, Bob can be found training with the racing war canoes and on journeys with sea-going canoes, visiting villages along our beautiful B.C. coast. |
